An Emirati police corporal stood in the dock on Wednesday in the Court of First Instance on the charges of possession of narcotics for peddling and use of narcotics. The 21-year-old corporal was arrested outside his workplace on November 14 last year. As many as 604 pills of Benzhexol and eight pills of Tramadol were seized from him. An Emirati police captain said that the arrest came after the Anti-Narcotics police were tipped off about the defendant possessing and peddling in narcotics. They searched him and found eight Tramadol tablets with him. The 604 benzhexol pills were seized from his place later. He was taken to the General Directorate of Criminal Evidence.His urine sample showed it contained traces of the two narcotics.
