Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE) Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mohammed Mubarak bin Daina chaired the Joint Climate Change Committee.
The session was attended by officials representing the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, the Ministry of Oil, the Supreme Council for the Environment, the Electricity and Water Authority and the Economic Development Board.
The panel discussed latest developments, especially the decision of the US president to withdraw from the Paris UN Framework Convention on Climate.
The session discussed Bahrain’s participation in the upcoming The Bonn 2017 UN climate change conference, scheduled to be held on November 6-17.
