HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah al-Mahmoud has called for unification of legislations among Gulf countries. “It is a necessary prelude to the unification of development plans, policies and programmes,” HE al-Mahmoud told the members of the Legislation Departments in GCC states, at the end of their three-day visit to Qatar. The members exchanged expertise and got acquainted with “work mechanisms” at the Legislation Department at the Qatari Cabinet General secretariat. During the meeting, the visiting members of GCC countries Legislation Departments praised the advancement in the methodologies and mechanisms of the legislative work in the State of Qatar. They also expressed appreciation for the hospitality and the brotherly spirit shown by the Qatari officials which reflect the profoundness of relations among GCC states. The meeting was attended by the Cabinet -Secretary General Dr Issa bin Saad al-Nuaimi and a number of officials at the Cabinet General secretariat.
