Cabinet's Information and Decision Support Centre (IDSC) asserted that there is no increase in the prices of subsidized bread.
In a report released on Monday, IDSC said some social media and websites have circulated news on possible increase in the prices of subsidized bread to be sold at a price of 10 piasters per loaf due to current tough economic conditions.
The report asserted that the Ministry of Supply is committed to selling the subsidized bread at 5 piasters per loaf by ration cards as part of the state's keenness on delivering subsidy to those who deserve it.
The report also asserted that subsidy bread distribution system would not be cancelled, noting that such system has ended the annual squandering of subsidized flour.
