Some observers monitoring the National Constituent Assembly (NCA) election could not carry out properly their activities, as a result of the lack of co-operation of some chief officers in the ballot collection centres and Independent Regional Authorities for the Elections, says the electoral process observatory "Chahed," in a communiqué made public on Monday. These infringements, the document specifies, consisted in expelling observers and preventing them from carrying out their follow-up of the operations underway within the collection centres, in the Tunis-1 constituencies, as well as preventing other observers' access to the collection centres of the Mahdia electoral district. Additionally, the "Chahed" observatory pointed out that some observers in the collection centres in the Ariana, Ben Arous, Siliana, Gafsa and Jendouba precincts could not have access to the centres, which prevented them from fulfilling their oversight mission.
