His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, this afternoon received the Egyptian Information Minister, Salah Abdel-Maksoud, at his Zabeel Palace. Also present were H. H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and H. H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai. During the meeting, the Egyptian Minister conveyed a message of greetings to Sheikh Mohammed from Egyptian President Dr. Mohammed Morsi. This included his expression of the appreciation of himself, as President, and of the Egyptian government and people for the UAE's policy of supporting the march of democracy which had been chosen by the people of Egypt as a clear political approach. Sheikh Mohammed stressed during the meeting that the Arab Republic of Egypt will remain, as always, the heart of the Arab nation, going on to express his confidence in the Egyptian people's choices. He also stressed the UAE's support for Egypt's president, government and people and wished Dr. Morsi success in serving his country and his people and in strengthening the foundations of democracy and justice on the land of Egypt. The UAE's Vice President also sent his greetings for the Egyptian President, expressing his wishes that the Egyptian people would enjoy continued progress and stability. The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Aviation Authority and Chairman of Emirates Group, and Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, in addition to other officials.
