HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King, President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), has met the UNESCO Director General Irina Bokova on the sidelines of her patronage of the opening of the (Women as seen by Bahraini women artists) exhibition at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris.
The SCW President gave an overview of the Bahraini women’s achievements under the royal reforms, as well as Bahrain’s efforts to advance Bahraini women in various fields.
The UNESCO Director General lauded Bahrain’s achievements in the area of women’s empowerment and the SCW support for Bahraini women at various levels, stressing eagerness to exchange expertise in areas of joint interests.
