The Ambassadors of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Ahmed Abdulrahman Al-Saati, the United Arab Emirates, Omar SaifGhobash, the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Mohammed Al-Badri and Deputy Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the Russian Federation, Mohammed Al-Shammari, met at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building, the Russian Special Presidential Representative to the Middle East and Africa and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Bogdanov.
The meeting discussed the latest developments on the crisis with the State of Qatar and provided a detailed report on Qatar’s support and funding for terrorist organisations and militias throughout the region.
Bogdanov assured the ambassadors of Russia’s position that ‘no country should intervene in this dispute, which should be solved by dialogue within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) GCC or the Arab League’, adding that ‘combating terrorism is the most important thing that these countries should agree upon during the dialogue.’
He also expressed Russia’s pride in the friendly relations with the countries represented by the ambassadors and said that his country is ready to cooperate with it in combating terrorism and exchanging information in this regard.
This step comes as part of a series of moves taken by the Kingdom’s embassy in Moscow to show the real dangers that the Kingdom has experienced as a result of this approach adopted by the State of Qatar towards it and towards the rest of the Gulf and neighbouring Arab countries.
