Bahraini Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa described the GCC achievements as the outcome of long years of hard work. Therefore, he said, they must be preserved and protected from any attempt to undermine them, according to Bahrain News Agency (BNA). Prince Khalifa was speaking as he received today members of the UAE Lawyers Loyalty and Faithfulness Campaign (LLFC), led by Mansour Lootah. The Bahraini Prime Minister praised the GCC glorious common history and unique specificity, stressing that unity of the GCC people is a historical truth and a reality which needs more impetus and development into a united bloc. Prime Minister was offered the Loyalty and Gratitude Shield-the first honour presented by the association to a GCC figure outside the UAE in tribute to the regional and international respect accorded to him, being the symbol of wisdom and dedication in national work. The Prime Minister asserted support to any initiative led by the civil society to strengthen ties among the GCC people and preserve their civilizational achievements. “Our common destiny and ties of kinship are the basis for setting up a GCC system of integration and unity that caters to the needs of our people and achieves more security and stability for our countries,” he said. He also voiced Bahrain’s respect to the key role played by the UAE in supporting it, which reflects strong bonds between both countries and peoples. Prince Khalifa commended LLFC stances in facing the dangers targeting the GCC countries as well as the misleading campaigns distorting the truth.
