Oil Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, in his speech at the 22nd World Petroleum Congress concluded today in Istanbul, Turkey, spoke of “Partnership for Success”.
The congress was launched on 9 July under the slogan “Bridges towards the future of energy”. It witnessed the presence of the WPC President Dr. Jozsef Toth; Chairman of Turkish Petroleum Company; Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey and his Russian counterpart; India’s Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas. Also attended representatives from world energy companies; government and non-governmental organizations and industrial sectors.
The minister said Bahrain’s participation in this international event reflects the leadership’s keenness to accentuate the national achievements in regional and international forums.
He stressed the National Oil and Gas Authority is keen to constantly participate in global forums to attract international oil conferences and exhibitions, as well as eyeing to increase oil investments in Bahrain.
He highlighted resolve to continue preparing skillful national cadres in implementation of the leadership’s directives on supporting national human resources to promote Bahrain’s achievements regionally and globally.
