Egyptian Finance Minister Amr Al Jarehi praised the deep-rooted historic ties between his country and Bahrain in the political, economic and investment fields.
Speaking to Bahrain News Agency (BNA) on the sidelines of his participation in the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS)’s Geo-Economic Forum, in Manama today, the Egyptian Finance Minister asserted that his country is now capable of attracting more Gulf and Arab investments in view of its new investment and commercial easing. He affirmed said Bahrain can avail from Egypt’s farming and foodstuff sector in Egypt in view of Egypt’s potential natural resources. Egypt can benefit from Bahrain’s expertise in the field of energy and petroleum derivatives industry, he added.
And regarding the Qatari crisis, the minister said that the Arab Quartet Calling to Combat Terrorism have firmly stood against Doha’s supporting terrorism that unmasked the real face of Qatar and its stark violations. Strong evidence proved that Qatar committed many terrorist acts that negatively impacted on the region’s countries and the whole world.
He hoped that the Arab Quartet Calling to Combat Terrorism would result in an Economic Quartet in view of the strong political ties between Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Egypt, to boost the investment, commercial and financial opportunities among the four countries that will ultimately positively reflect on the Quartet’s economies and peoples.
