The Paris-based French Atelier des Sevres will hold an art workshop in Bahrain. Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa signed a memorandum of understanding with the Labour Fund “Tamkeen” Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ibrahim Janahi to support the event. A group of 18 art students enrolled at different universities in Bahrain will take part in the three-week workshop, to be held at the BACA-run Arts Centre.
BACA president stressed keenness on spearheading innovative programmes that contribute to promoting the role of artists in society and expose Bahraini budding talents to world expertise. Dr. Janahi underlined Tamkeen-led strategy, which focuses on empowering individuals and institutions to contribute to spurring economic growth.
