The Tunisian Association for Democratic and Fair Elections (ATIDE) announced on Tuesday that it will monitor the Constituent Assembly elections in Tunisia and abroad. Accredited by the independent election body ISIE since last August, ATIDE will monitor 27 constituencies out of a total 33. In a statement published on Tuesday, the association says that it has recruited and trained a network of Tunisian voluntary observers and worked out a system of monitoring, information and data collection allowing to analyse the furtherance of elections. "The Tunisian citizens who will vote next October 20, 21 and 22 abroad and next October 23 in Tunisia can be sure that the transparency of the elections is secured ", said Moez Bouraoui, Chairman of ATIDE. Set up last March 24, ATIDE is an NGO operating in matters of human rights' defence and protection of democratic values, especially the right to vote.
