Cairo - Kuna

Arab League\'s Assistant Secretary-General in charge of Palestine affairs and the occupied Arab territories, Ambassador Mohammed Sabih on Saturday criticized the United Nations report on the Israeli attack on the Turkey-led aid flotilla to Gaza and the positions of the report, which considered the siege of Gaza legitimate. The ambassador told reporters that the report, known as \"Palmer Report\", was not successful, biased and marred the reputation of the United Nations and encourages aggression and war, and could be taken by Israel as a pretext for the continuation of the siege of Gaza. He added that everyone knows the status of Gaza where children are dying on their beds and patients are dying due to lack of medicine and aggression, pointing out that Israel has used all kinds of weapons against the Palestinian people in Gaza, expressing surprise at the report\'s justification of the Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip. He said that this is contrary to international law, adding that no state shall have the right to impose a blockade on another country for political reasons. He continued saying that imposition of the blockade must be issued by the Security Council, describing the report as contrary to international law and that all who signed it will bear the responsibility.
