Arab Ministers of Justice, members of the Executive Office underlined here on Sunday the importance of continuing Arab cooperation in the fight against terrorism through the Arab Convention against Terrorism and its implementation mechanism as well as the emphasis on strengthening Arab and international cooperation in combating this phenomenon. The 47th session of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice, which kick-started at the Arab League headquarters here today, reviewed at the conclusion of their meeting the Arab strategy for combating human trafficking and another blueprint for judicial development. It also tackled draft conventions and laws prepared by the Technical Secretariat of the Council on Combating Piracy and the draft Arab strategy to combat trafficking in human beings. The Office has prepared draft resolutions on the items listed on the agenda to be submitted to the meeting of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice in November. Chairman of the meeting, Egyptian Justice Minister Mohammed Abdulaziz Al-Jundi stressed in a press statement the importance of Arab cooperation in this stage chiefly the fight against negative phenomena experienced by Arab societies, especially terrorism, drugs, piracy and crimes that take place over the internet. Al-Jundi added that the meeting discussed the crimes and the problems of the current time experienced by the Arab world in light of a consensus on the need for conventions and model legislation to address those problems
