Syria\'s Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi and Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki discussed in a phone call on Friday bilateral relations and ways to enhance them. Al-Halqi expressed gratitude for Iraq\'s role in supporting Syria at regional and international forums and in supporting the efforts of holding national dialogue and solving the crisis through peaceful means. For his part, al-Maliki stressed Iraq\'s support to the Syrian people in the face of all challenges, highlighting Baghdad\'s rejection of foreign interference in Syrian internal affairs and its support for resolving the crisis peacefully and politically.
