Al Dhafra Municipality is continuing the maintenance works of internal roads across the six towns of Madinat Zayed, Liwa, Al Mirfa, Ghayathi, Al Sila and Dalma, while the Services Sector Cities and Suburbs - Madinat Zayed is undertaking many maintenance projects in the city.
Saif Saeed Al Mazrouei, Executive Director of the Services Sector Cities and Suburbs - Madinat Zayed, said that the municipality is supporting local road maintenance projects, to provide the best services for local citizens, residents and visitors to the region, and to maintain the highest standards of road infrastructure, in line with the development and advancement efforts in Al Dhafra.
Al Mazrouei explained that the municipality is concerned about the flow of traffic while conducting the maintenance works, to not cause obstructions or delays in the movement of traffic within Madinat Zayed. The municipality’s road improvement and maintenance works and infrastructure facilities projects in 2017 have included the maintenance of damaged asphalt surfaces in several areas, as well as several stages of paint work to local sidewalks, according to the traffic control tools guide, he added.
The maintenance projects also include the removal of speed bumps that do not comply with the standard specifications, the construction of new speed bumps to decrease the speed of vehicles for crossing pedestrians, and replacing damaged traffic signs, he concluded.
