A fire broke out in a warehouse in Abu Dhabi's Mina Zayed industrial facilities on Thursday morning.
The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense said the fire gutted a printing press inside the warehouse due the inflammable materials including papers.
The civil defense said the operations room received a report about the fire at about 2:25am on Thursday.
Firefighters and rescue teams rushed to the scene and immediately began to extinguish the fire.
The fire also caused high rising smoke which polluted the area but no one was injured.
Major-General Jassem Al Mazrouqi, the general commander of civil defense at the Ministry of Interior participated in supervising the firefighting operations.
Firefighters managed to put out the blaze that has been classified as a moderate one in a short period of time and also prevented the fire from spreading to the neighboring premises.
Burning papers and other inflammable materials inside the warehouse fueled the fire, according to authorities.
Colonel Mohammed Abdul Jalil Al Ansari, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense said the swift action and professionalism of the civil defense personnel helped in the quick control of the fire and prevented the blaze from spreading to the nearby warehouses.
The amount of loss caused by the fire has not been mentioned.
