About 384 Egyptians returned home from Libya via Salloum crossing over the past 24 hours, Matrouh Security Chief Hisham Lotfi said on Monday.
The number included 298 legal arrivals and 86 illegal ones, he said in statements.
Meanwhile, the travel procedures of 253 Egyptians and 421 Libyans were finalized, Lotfy added.
Libya has been witnessing a rising insurgency by different rebel groups and militias as well as an increasing use of weapons since the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi’s regime in 2011.
