Twenty applicants from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman have qualified for the tenth edition of the Sharjah Media Corporation’s Sharjah Junior Munshid, following a remarkable performance in the preliminary tests last Thursday.
Commenting on the results, Najmuddin Hashim, the Executive Producer of Munshid, highlighted the range of talent in the first round. He said the diversity of advanced voices in both Saudi Arabia and Oman augurs well for the season and adds to the Munshid experience in the Arab World.
He noted that the jury in both countries has identified the participants who have passed the pre-examination stage, revealing a selection of voices that will increase competition in the next stages of the programme.
The programme’s team is preparing to go to the Sudanese capital of Khartoum on 14th August to search for the most beautiful voices in the country.
The Organising Committee is conducting tests in ten Arab countries Sudan, Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan, Morocco, Lebanon and the UAE following its tour in the Kingdom and the Sultanate. The deadline for online applications for all countries is 10th September. Those interested can register on Sharjah Munshid’s website at www.smc.ae/monshid.
