South Korea\'s President Lee Myung-bak says the Nuclear Security Summit opening in Seoul next Monday will play a big role in rallying international support for North Korea\'s denuclearization. In his biweekly radio address Monday, the president said South Korea has strictly and consistently abided by the nonproliferation principle despite North Korea\'s ceaseless nuclear threats. He said Seoul is globally recognized as a model nation in the peaceful use of nuclear power, allowing it host the summit, according to Korea\'s (KBS WORLD) website. He said the global event will produce concrete action plans to strengthen each government\'s management over nuclear materials and boost cross-border cooperation to prevent illegal trafficking. President Lee also noted that next Monday is the second anniversary of North Korea\'s torpedoing of the South\'s naval vessel \"Cheonan.\" He stressed a stronger security mindset to protect the country so the deaths of the 46 sailors in the attack and the death of a warrant officer who died during the rescue operation will not be in vain.
