Two Omanis were burned to death in a four-car collision in Adam in the Dhakliya region late on Monday, according to a Royal Oman Police (ROP) press release Tuesday.A dangerous overtaking by a car travelling from Adam to Nizwa resulted in the fatal accident. \"The driver tried to overtake without realising the short distance from the oncoming traffic,\" said a police spokesperson.He added that the car rammed into three oncoming cars and the friction from the accident at high speed set all the vehicles on fire, killing two persons.The police has urged motorists to adhere to speed limits and avoid dangerous overtaking on the highways.
