Two Asians have been arrested for the murder of an Omani citizen in the wilayat of Musannah in the governorate of South Batinah. The accused, brothers, are charged with the cold-blooded killing of the 72-year-old man in his house on a farm in the Al Malada area. Police began investigations after the man’s body was found in his bedroom. Police said one of the killers had been employed by the deceased as a farm worker and the other as a domestic help. The first accused sneaked into the victim’s bedroom at 4am with help from his brother and killed him by smashing his head. The man died instantly. The case has been referred to the Public Persecution Department in Musannah pending trial. Muscat - Khaleej times
