Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of International Cooperation and Development (MICAD) and Head of the UAE Committee for Coordination of Humanitarian Foreign Aid, has said the Ministry seeks to translate the aspirations of the wise leadership about development of government services' system into reality.
She added that this will be attained through a shift to smart government in line with the UAE vision 2021 to become one of the world's best governments.
Sheikha Lubna was commenting on participation of the MICAD along with a number of federal institutions at the Smart Government Conference and Exhibition, which concluded yesterday.
Even though the MICAD was established only in 2013, she continued, it was able to develop the system of smart services, thus facilitating provision of services, stressing that the Ministry is moving ahead with determination to strengthen the technical aspects to expedite the process of providing services efficiently.
During the event, H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum toured the MICAD pavilion, where he was briefed on the UAE's foreign aid and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
The MICAD pavilion received much attention from the public, visitors and stakeholders.
