Arsène Wenger believes Andre Santos’ attacking instincts will get him back on the scoresheet sooner rather than later. The Brazilian has netted twice this season, firing home against Olympiacos in September before adding a second in the thrilling 5-3 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge a month later. Santos will try for a repeat when Roberto di Matteo’s side head to Emirates Stadium on Saturday, but Wenger admits the 29-year-old may have a fight on his hands with Kieran Gibbs fit to play once more. “He does go for it and he was close to scoring with his right foot [against Wigan], especially in the first half,” Wenger told Saturday’s Official Matchday Programme. “He had a great chance from Robin in the second half when he mis-kicked but it was a great chance. “I like to have a battle because we had many injuries and now Gibbs is back. In the last game I still had a doubt that he was completely ready but it is still a battle there. “In every game it is an interesting choice but that is part of being a big club as well. You want the fight.”
