The Dutchman has featured mainly off the bench this season, scoring four goals in all competitions, and although he admits he could stay at Liverpool for the rest of his career, he insists he will leave if he has to. “I want to play every game,” Kuyt told the Daily Mirror. “It is very disappointing when I don’t – like in the League Cup final. “As long as I am playing as much as I want then I will be happy, but if it gets to the stage where I am not playing every game anymore, maybe I will have to make another decision – but I don’t think about that at this stage. “I’m feeling really well physically, I don’t think I’ve ever felt stronger and I am ready to play every game. It is all about trying to convince the manager that he needs to pick me more than he does at the moment.” Kuyt also insists that Liverpool are progressing after their League Cup win and he believes that while they will be a big threat next season, they have not given up on this year’s race for fourth place. He continued: “We have a sense that we are a coming force, that we are building something special. We can do something next season for sure, but we are still in this season and we still have a chance. “You could say we have a maddening inconsistency at times, even if have been unlucky. We have to keep playing, but [start to] take the chances we are creating, and there were signs against Everton and Stoke that we are starting to do that.”
