Masry football director Ibrahim Hassan has warned the club’s undisciplined players that they would face heavy sanctions if they continued to boycott the club’s training sessions. Masry’s latest training session witnessed a low turnout in the wake of Egypt's worst football disaster that occurred at Port Said stadium on 1 February. The coastal club is supposed to train on Sunday under the guidance of coach Hossam Hassan for the first time since the bloody events. According to the club’s official website, the player who will miss Sunday’s training session will have his wages suspended, football director Ibrahim Hassan, the twin brother of Hossam, said. Football activities have been suspended across Egypt since over 74 football fans were killed and hundreds injured when thousands of Masry fans stormed the pitch to confront Ahly’s visiting supporters. Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan said they would leave Masry following the disaster but later backtracked on their decision. Masry technical staff headed by twins Hassan have announced their intention to leave their post after the disaster before withdrawn the decision amid fans objection for their departure. Masry have won two games and drew once since Hassan took over. Some pundits have demanded that the club be relegated as a punishment for the February deadly riots.
