The Yemeni government said Monday it intensified attacks against hideouts of Al-Qaeda in southern Yemen and killed many of them. Scores of Al-Qaeda "terrorists" were killed in air strikes in Abyan province, Brigadier Mohammad Saleh, director of Security in Abyan, said. He said the air strikes hit a training camp for "terrorists" and killed 55 of them, as well as destroying two depot of ammunition. Saleh said senior Al-Qaeda leaders were in the camp during the attack and they were killed instantly alongside other "terrorists" who were at the scene. Abyan is one of the major Al-Qaeda strongholds in Yemen.
