More than 20 insurgents were killed in a joint operation in eastern Afghanistan, the Afghan and NATO military officials said here Wednesday.Provincial government spokesman Din Mohammad Darwesh said the two-day operation that ended Tuesday night in Logar province also killed a local Taliban commander.He added that two civilians were wounded in Baraki Barak district.There were no immediate reports of Afghan or international forces deaths.It is worth to mention that the NATO military coalition said in a statement that the troops killed 24 insurgents as part of the operation that rescued two captured Afghan soldiers.Afghan officials gave varying numbers of 23 to 26 militants killed
