At least seven security men including four Afghan National Army (ANA) personnel and two policemen were killed on Saturday when a booby-trapped bomb they were attempting to defuse exploded in eastern Laghman province, said officials. The spokesman for governor, Sarhadi Zwak in a press statement said that the blast occurred when the security officials tried to neutralize the roadside bomb they discovered in Safi area of Mehtarlam, the provincial capital. He further confirmed that four ANA service members and two policemen, including an Afghan Local Police (ALP) member, were killed and two others were wounded.
