A suicide attack on a foreign guest house in Afghan capital city Kabul ended with the killing of all five bombers on Friday evening, said officials.Deputy Minister of Interior Gen. Mohammad Ayub Salangi in a statement said, "A group of five suicide bombers stormed the Roots of Peace guest house in Kart-i-Seh locality of Kabul in the sixth police district." He added that four of the attackers blew themselves up at the entrance to the building while a fifth was shot dead by security forces after a fierce battle.The official told that the assault touched off a four-hour gun battle and foreigners in the guesthouse were rescued. A girl was killed in the blast, which wounded a security guard of the guesthouse, he noted. Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said insurgents attacked a "guesthouse of foreigners and a church of foreigners," said local media reports.The Afghan capital is on high alert and the atmosphere is nervous ahead of next week's presidential election that the Taliban have vowed to disrupt. The numbers of violent incidents have increased as presidential polls get closer and election campaigns of the candidates are in full swing. Earlier on Thursday, four gunmen stormed Kabul's Serena hotel and shot dead nine civilians including an Agence France-Presse journalist.
