At least 29 Daesh militants were kiled in air strikes on eastern Nangarhar province, reported Al Arabiya Al Hadath Satellite TV.
Radio Caliphate, a mouthpiece of the Islamic State (Daesh), and a self-styled court of the group have been destroyed in an airstrike in eastern Nangarhar province, officials claimed on Tuesday.
The strikes were carried out by The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) warplanes.
Police spokesman Hazrat Husain Mashriqiwal confirmed the destruction of Radio Caliphate and Daesh’s court, as well as the killing of 20 militants, in the air raid in the Mamond area of the district.
Meanwhile, another security official also verified the elimination of the Islamic Station radio station and court. He would not go into the details of the airstrike.
Radio Caliphate had been broadcasting programs on FM 90.0 frequency over the past three months for two hours a day. Residents say they have not heard its broadcasts since last evening.
Last month, the Ministry of Defense claimed silencing the Islamic State radio, but after some time, it resumed broadcasts. In addition to Pashto broadcasts, the radio recently started airing programs in Dari language.
