At least 25 anti-government armed militants were killed following military operations conducted by Afghan national army (ANA) soldiers.
Defense ministry spokesman, Gen. Zahir Azimi, said Wednesday that the operations were conducted during the past 24 hours in various provinces, according to the Afghan (Khaama Press).
Gen. Azimi further added that 16 militants were also injured and another militant was arrested during the operations.
Afghan national army soldiers also confiscated various types of weapons and explosives including two suicide bombing vests during the operations, Azimi said.
Azimi also added that a motorcycle along with 20 kg of explosives and 28 improvised explosive device (IEDs) were also seized during the operations.
He did not disclose further information regarding the casualties of Afghan national army soldiers during the operations.
The anti-government armed militant groups have not commented regarding the report so far.
