Two civilians were killed while six others wounded after a roadside bomb struck a vehicle in eastern Afghan province of Wardak on Sunday, said the provincial government.
"A minibus touched off an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) along a road in Daymirdad district early Sunday morning, and the explosion caused two civilians killed and injured six others," it said in a statement.
The injured, including a woman and two children, were shifted to the district hospital, the statement noted.
Nearly 3,700 civilians were killed and more than 6,800 others wounded in conflicts and Taliban-led attacks in 2014, according to official figures by the UN mission in the country.
