At least seven people have been killed in a twin suicide bomb attack in the town of Baidoa in southern Somalia, the BBC reported on Friday.
The attack, which also wounded more than 20 people, happened outside a restaurant frequented by residents and local journalists.
Two of the dead are journalists working with London-based Somali TV organisations..
Various armed groups have been battling for control of Somalia since President Siad Barre was ousted in 1991.
Captain Hassan Nor said a suicide car bomber drove into a crowd, detonating explosives. A second blast rang out when another suicide bomber walked into the restaurant.
No group has yet said it carried out the attack. However the al-Qaeda-linked al-Shabab militant group is responsible for the majority of suicide attacks in Somalia.
