Israeli occupation forces (IOF) shot and injured a Palestinian youth near the Ibrahimi Mosque, in Hebron, on claims that he attempted to carry out a stabbing attack.
A PIC news correspondent, said the IOF soldiers opened fire at a Palestinian youth near a military checkpoint pitched in the environs of the Ibrahimi Mosque, in the southern occupied West Bank province of al-Khalil.
The Israeli forces claimed that the young man attempted to carry out an anti-occupation knife attack.
Israeli police spokeswoman Luba Samri said a knife-wielding youngster attempted to stab an Israeli soldier before the latter pulled his gun and shot him.
No further details were revealed by the Israeli police on the incident.
