A Palestinian fisherman succumbed on Monday to wounds he sustained in the early morning hours after the Israeli navy opened fire on fishing boats sailing in Gaza waters, said soures.
According to the Palestine News and Information Agency, WAFA, the Israeli navy opened fire on Palestinian fishermen sailing offshore from the al-Sudaniya neighbourhood to the north of Gaza, shooting and critically injuring a fisherman.
The fisherman, Mohammed Baker, was transferred to a hospital in Israel for medical treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries.
