Topshop has announced British supermodel and actress Cara Delevingne as the face of its AW14 fashion campaign. Shot in London by renowned photographer Alasdair McLellam and styled by Topshop Creative Director Kate Phelan, the shoot features Cara wearing key looks from the AW14 collections in a series of 12 images. Cara’s first appearance for the brand was in 2010 when she featured in a Kate Moss Topshop campaign video. Her immersion into the brand continued when she walked for Topshop Unique in the SS13, AW13 and SS14 catwalk shows. The brand is renowned for nurturing and developing emerging talent in the design, music, technology and modeling fields; with previous brand campaigns featuring Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Lily Donaldson, Rosie Tapner and Eliza Cummings in the early stages of their careers. This Autumn/Winter is the first time a Topshop campaign will feature a single girl as Cara alone features in each photograph. The AW14 collection will launch into stores globally and online from August, with the campaign launch coinciding with a phase of widespread international growth for the Topshop/Topman brands. In the US, five new owned stores will open including a new flagship on New York's 5th Avenue, which after the 100,000 sq ft Oxford Circus store in London, will be the second largest store in the world. A store in Amsterdam, two further stores in Hong Kong and new market openings in Egypt, New Zealand and Panama demonstrate the brand’s growing global reach.
