The old Nanhu Bridge in Changchun, the capital of northeast China's Jilin province was demolished on June 11, 2017, using 710 kgs of explosives. With the amount of explosives used, it took merely 3.5 seconds for the bridge to come down a
The demolished bridge will be replaced by a new bridge spanning 150 meters long and 26 meters wide. 16 meters of the bridge will be used for vehicles and 5 meters for pedestrians on either side.
In what looks like a scene from an action film, the bridge can be seen crashing down, giving way to dust and debris. According to reports, it would take up to five days to clear up the debris.
