The UAE National Archives has launched a charity initiative, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi branch of the Emirates Red Crescent, to construct five mosques and dig two wells outside UAE, as part of the Year of Giving initiative.
Under the mosque building project, dubbed as 'The National Archives Mosques', five new mosques, with an individual capacity of 800 people, will be built in Mauritania, Somalia, Burkina Faso, Mali and India, while the two wells will be built in India and Mali.
The National Archives thanked Emirates Red Crescent for its cooperation and its employees for their generous donations. It also expressed its appreciation for their generous giving, which is part of their social responsibility for humanitarian and charity work.
The National Archives considers this type of charity and humanitarian work as the best way of representing the ideal image of the UAE.
