The number of Syrian refugees in Turkey has declined to 6,833, Turkish authorities reported on Wednesday. Disaster and Emergency Management at the Turkish cabinet said in a statement that 35 Syrian refugees have crossed the Turkish borders in the past two days, increasing the number of Syrian refugees in the country to 16,624 so far. However, 9,791 have returned back home. Turkey has spent USD 17.7, as yet, on providing food, shelter and medical care for those refugees, the statement pointed out. The Syrian refugees stay in six camps, located south of the country, and it is run by the Turkish Red Crescent.
