Developments of the security situation in Libya encouraged several humanitarian organisations to leave the region of Medenine for Libya, where their presence is henceforth necessary. Several organisations, such as Médecins sans frontières, the International Organisation for Migration, the Emirian Red Cross and the World Food Programme (WFP), which had taken care of refugees fleeing Libya, are preparing to leave the region of Medenine. The Tunisian Red Crescent (TRC) is preparing to send financial aid and medicines to the Libyan city of Zouarat, waiting for an improvement of the security situation to dispatch voluntary workers there, according to Mr. Mongi Slim, chief of TRC regional committee in Médenine. The Shusha military hospital is still open, receiving the average of one wounded person a day.
