The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia held here today a session of official talks with the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe.
In a speech during the meeting, King Salman stressed the urgent need to intensify international efforts to resolve issues and crises in the Middle East, including the Palestinian cause and ending Syrian and Yemeni crises, for their negative effects on the region's stability and development, as well as for impeding the growth of international trade, and threatening ensuring of energy supplies to the world.
He said that terrorism has become the greatest danger to the security of nations and peoples, stressing the need of concerted international efforts and hard work to deepen the concepts of dialogue between the followers of religions and cultures, and to enhance the spirit of tolerance and coexistence between peoples.
For his part, Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe described the visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques as historical and aiming at developing and enhancing relations and achieving more partnership and investments between the two countries.
Following the session, King Salman and Japan's Prime Minister attended the signing of a number of memoranda of understanding and cooperation programs between the governments of the two countries.
