Minister of Education, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi, has received a letter of thanks from UNESCO Director-General, Irina Bokova.
The UNESCO Director-General extended sincere gratitude to the Education Minister for the kind hospitality and warm reception offered for the UNESCO delegation during its recent visit to Bahrain. She commended the minister’s effort in providing fair and comprehensive education for all.
Bokova expressed delight in attending the honoring ceremony of the UNESCO-affiliated schools in Bahrain, praising the increase of the same to 70 public and private schools, which will contribute to promoting the UNESCO’s goals of disseminating values of justice and peace globally.
She highlighted Bahrain’s active participation in the UNESCO’s regional and international events, welcoming the progress of cooperation and wished Bahrain further development and prosperity.
