Poland has sent arms to Libyan rebels, the Polish news agency PAP cited government circles as saying on Monday. The Polish government had reportedly approved the sale of weapons to the Libyan insurgents. There has been no official confirmation yet on the report. Polish Foreign Minister Radoslav Sikorski who visited the Libyan rebel stronghold in Benghazi in May, was expected to comment later this afternoon on the developments in Libya. Poland\'s ambassador to Libya was one of the first western diplomats to move his residence to Benghazi. The latest report comes amid fierce clashes between rebels and troops loyal to Libyan dictator Moammar Qadhafi engulfed in the heart of the capital Tripoli, but Qadhafi\'s whereabouts remained unknown even as the likely end of his 42-year rule was already being celebrated.
