Part of the popular London shopping district Knightsbridge was sealed off by police officers earlier this morning.
Eyewitnesses told Arab News they were told to leave the area at once.
London’s Metropolitan Police told Arab News that officers were called to the scene at around 9 a.m. after reports of a "suspicious package" close to Brompton Road.
The area was later reopened as police confirmed that the package did not pose a threat.
"Officers attended the scene and can confirm the package is non-suspicious," the police service said in a statement. "The road was temporarily closed and has now been reopened."
