The Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati says his government is committed to put an end to the constant violation of Lebanon's sovereignty by Israel.He further called on the United Nations to take appropriate measures regarding Tel Aviv's acts of aggression, a Press TV correspondent reported. “The government will keep urging the UN to halt Israel's ongoing violations of Lebanon's sovereignty,” Mikati said.Mikati's comments were made during his trip to southern Lebanon on the fifth anniversary of Israel's 2006 war against Lebanon.Israel's all-out offensives on southern Lebanon in July 2006, known as the 33-Day War, killed about 1,200 Lebanese, most of them civilians. The trip on Saturday was the Lebanese Prime Minister's first after the formation of the new government.
