Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, OIC, and Bagdad Amreyev, Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan to the OIC, yesterday reviewed the ongoing preparations for the upcoming Summit on Science and Technology scheduled for September 2017 in Astana, Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the Secretary-General and the Kazakhstan Special Envoy stressed the importance of the development of science and technology in the OIC countries.
The Secretary-General and the Kazakh official also reviewed bilateral relation between the OIC and Kazakhstan, highlighting the important role of OIC in promoting the developmental agendas and ensuring successful peaceful resolution of crises in OIC Member States, including combatting terrorism and violent extremism.
