Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the 18th edition of the International Holy Quran Competition kicked off today and will continue till October 8 in the Russian capital of Moscow.
President of the Religious Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation, Shaikh Rawi Ain Al-Deen, is presiding the global competition, attended by a group of Shaikhs, reading scholars, reciters and Quran memorizers from 30 Arab and Islamic countries.
The representative of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Russian Federation made a speech in which he pointed out that the support provided by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the competition this year, is part of His Majesty’s valuable initiatives to spread the teachings of the Islamic religion through The Holy Quran.
The Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Competition, the First Deputy Chairman of the Council of Muftis of Russia, Shaikh Roshan Abbasov, also gave a speech in which he expressed his thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his great role in serving the Holy Quran, and supporting the international Quranic competitions taking place in the Kingdom, as well as the printing and distribution of the “Bahrain Mus’haf”.
