Activists participating in the Freedom Flotilla (2) said the Greek authorities seized the ship “Dignity” while heading to the Gaza Strip to break the Israeli siege on it. Palestinian news agency (Maan) quoted the fleets’ organizers as saying that coast guards in Greece seized the ship today on the island of Crete, south Greece, upon a decision by the authorities in Athens. The agency quoted a statement by Claude Aostic, a spokeswoman for the organizers, as saying the ship dignity transferred to the port of Sitia in Crete by the |Greek cast guard after it has been intercepted while the ship was refueling. Meanwhile, the Palestinian NGO Network condemned the seizure of the vessel and demanded in a statement to that regard, the Greek government to allow the ship set sail to Gaza.
